Who We Are
The Salvation Army is your neighbors, friends, and colleagues. Its made up of thousands of volunteers just like you. Staff members who grew up in our community and are dedicated to serving others. Officers (Clergy) who have made life-long committments to serve others in the name of Christ through the work of The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is 156 years of faithful tradition and ministry of serving others without discrimination.
What We Do
The Salvation Army offers many services and programs to meet basic needs. The Washington Area Fuel Fund assists with eligible utility bills for needy individuals during the Winter and Spring. Daily food distribution and a food pantry provide nutritional assistance to needy people. Clothing vouchers are provided to our Family Thrift Store for those in need. Weekly meals are provided in-house and delivered to local seniors and organizations. Christmas programs such as the Angel Tree offer children in need a Merry Christmas through the generosity of our community. Weekly youth and women fellowship programs offer community to at-risk families. The Salvation Army stands ready to serve all in need in the name of Jesus without discrimination.
