Who We Are
Founded in 1990, the YDC has been the focal point for youth development in the Winchester, Frederick County, and Clarke County area. Some of our classic staples include Summerfest, Baker's Anchor Mentoring, and Adventures Beyond programming for youth with disabilities. We are also in the beginning stages of developing our after-school programming for the Fall of 2022. This will encompass tutoring, mentoring, and reduced-cost specialty classes such as Intro to Spanish/ASL, creative writing workshops, youth literary clubs, video game tournaments, and a Dungeons and Dragons campaign for teens.
What We Do
The Youth Development Center fosters physical, academic and individual growth through community partnerships, engaged staff and a safe sustainable environment. Our youth are united in creating and experiencing positive self-worth, character building and life productive knowledge to carry through life.
