Healthy Families Shenandoah County

Healthy Families Shenandoah County empowers families by connecting them to community resources and in-home services. All services are voluntary and free to residents of Shenandoah County. Healthy Families provides consistent and ongoing support so that parents and other caretakers can give children a safe, healthy start in life. At Healthy Families we believe every caretaker wants to do their best, and raising kids is the hardest, most important job anyone can ever have. Through collaboration with other community groups and agencies, Healthy Families identifies resources to meet families' needs on an individual, case-by-case basis. Healthy Families has be a fully accredited national home visiting program in Shenandoah County for over 20 years, with more than 500 families have benefitted from our services.

Parent support and child development education through home visiting and outreach for pregnant women and families with children under age 5.
