ARE (AIDS Response Effort, Inc.)

We are a nonprofit agency, founded in 1990. We are currently a staff of seventeen, from all backgrounds and levels of expertise in providing equitable and affirming health and housing services to those in need in the community.

ARE is a nonprofit organization that provides innovative approaches to improve health disparities in our community. We provide sexual health prevention tools and testing for STI's/Hepatitis C/HIV. We offer financial and supportive services for people living with HIV in the Lord Fairfax Health District. We provide housing assistance for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the community. We are a LGBTQ affirming agency, providing resources to equitable health care options and wellness options in the community.
