We know that volunteers, just like our girls, are all unique and possess different talents, and perfect enough, the 5K has a wide variety of ways to give back. A few examples of 5K volunteer roles include course marshal, registration desk, water station helper, cheer squad, setup/breakdown crew, and more! - Course Marshall (8:30 am - 10:30 am): Help guide participants along the course and help maintain the safety of the participants.
- Cheer Team (8:30 am -10:30 am): cheer on the runners along the 5K course. Bring your spirit gear, signs and your star power energy.
- Clean Up Crew (8:30 am- 12 pm): Help repack all items into the rental truck, clean up area.
- Finish Line Management (8:30 am - 11 am): Keep runners moving through the finish line area to keep area clear.
- Finish Line Refreshments (8:30 am - 11 am): Hand out snacks and drinks to the finishers.
- Greeters/Crowd Control (8am - 9:30am): Help direct volunteers/families/runners to the correct areas.
- Merchandise Table (8 am - 11:30 am): Help set up and sell GOTR merchandise
- Parking (7:30 am - 9:15 am): Direct traffic to parking spots.
- Participant Check-In (8 am—9:30 am): Help participants check-in, hand out t-shirts, race bibs, and swag bags
- Registration (8:00 am - 9:30 am): Register runners who did not register
- Set-Up (7:30am - 9:00am): Unload bins, set out supplies, set up tables, team flags, team bins, start/finish line.
- Volunteer Check-In (7:15 am - 11 am): check-in volunteers, provide volunteer instructions
- Water Table (9 am - 10:30 am): Set up and break down the water table, hand out water to participants, cheer on the 5K participants
- Bike Marshall (8:30 am - 10:30 am): Guide runners along the 5K course and alerts the Safety Coordinator of any issues.
